ResultsInHealth is a public and global health agency founded in 1993, based in the Netherlands and active in many countries. Its objective is to improve the health of populations across the world through increasing access to effective disease prevention and health care services. RiH provides technical advice, training delivery, project implementation, and capacity building, research and research management, and conducting monitoring and evaluation.
Projects underway: employed as an Associate Consultant to undertake a range of work including editing and report writing, copywriting, funding proposal development, market research, event management, social media strategy development and implementation.
Work has spanned AIDS2018, Outcome Harvesting evaluation training, Transparency International, and others.
Hydro International is a print and online magazine for hydrographers, oceanographers and other scientists and researchers with an interest in marine and maritime topics.
Project underway: writing an article about the recent marine expedition to deploy eighteen seismometers in the North Atlantic. These devices will descent up to 4000m to install themselves on the seafloor, collecting seismic vibrational data to help scientists understand tsunamis and earthquakes.
In addition to the contribution to tsunami and earthquake research, this project will have creative and educational outcomes due to the collaboration with sound art project Aerial/Sparks as well as the curriculum links with Irish school students.
A new photography business based in the Netherlands offering a mix of creative and traditional photography services, with particular expertise in travel photography.

Project completed: guest post outlining my top 5 hotels, restaurants and event venues in Amsterdam, with recommendations for business travel. The article was published in early October 2018.
British Sociological Association
Founded in 1951, the BSA is the national subject association for sociologists in the UK and its primary objective is to promote sociology. The BSA is the largest sociological network in the UK and is the public face of sociology in Britain. It publishes a number of journals including Cultural Sociology, Sociological Futures, Sociology, Sociological Research Online, Medical Sociology Online and others.
Projects underway: currently developing an article for the BSA’s journal ‘Network’ from the perspective of a sociology PhD student about the experience of moving overseas from Melbourne to Amsterdam and carrying on the PhD part time by distance, to be published in the spring edition, as well as a book review of FutureFace by Alex Wagner.
Global Executive Events
Global Executive Events is a boutique international conference production company established in 2014 and based in Amsterdam. Hosting a suite of summits annually, the company addresses innovations across a broad range of business topics for an executive and senior professional audience, from branding to change management to IoT.
Projects completed: communications; copywriting; and website content development. Article writing on smart city and IoT as well as media releases on different topics such as this one for finance. Conference production including research and event management in the areas of finance; cyber and information security; market research and insights; and blockchain, all with the theme of innovation underpinning the event series.
Projects underway: development of a social media marketing strategy; development of a business plan.
Family Safety Victoria
A centre for family violence work, within the Department of Health and Human Services in Victoria, Australia. The FSV was established in July 2017 to coordinate, manage and implement recommendations arising from the Victorian government’s inquiry into family violence.
Projects completed: research, contribution to pioneering health legislation, project and program planning, coordination and implementation, stakeholder management, reporting, comms, brief and report writing.

Teaching Sociology is a quarterly journal published by SAGE in association with the American Sociological Association. The journal publishes articles, notes, and reviews for sociology teachers. Articles range from experimental studies of teaching and learning to broad, synthetic essays on pedagogically important issues, with the objective of sharing theoretically stimulating and practically useful information and advice with teachers.
