British Sociological Association
Founded in 1951, the BSA is the national subject association for sociologists in the UK and its primary objective is to promote sociology. The BSA is the largest sociological network in the UK and is the public face of sociology in Britain. It publishes a number of journals including Cultural Sociology, Sociological Futures, Sociology, Sociological Research Online, Medical Sociology Online and others.
Projects underway: currently developing an article for the BSA’s journal ‘Network’ from the perspective of a sociology PhD student about the experience of moving overseas from Melbourne to Amsterdam and carrying on the PhD part time by distance, to be published in the spring edition, as well as a book review of FutureFace by Alex Wagner.
